The Absorpole dehumidifier is designed for shipping containers to remove moisture. The dehumidifier's effectiveness is based on calcium chloride's powerful ability to absorb moisture from the air. Absorpole is easy to use and it is designed to work with all types of cargo on long journeys. It is designed to hang in the corrugated recess of the container wall, so it is well-suited for tightly packed containers. Absorpole's protective casing is made of strong impact-resistant plastic. DMF-free, RoHS and REACH compliant.

The absorption properties of calcium chloride salt provide Absorpole with excellent absorption capacity even at low humidity levels and the ability to effectively protect cargo throughout the entire journey. How Absorpole works: Absorpole is activated by pulling the inner grey part (absorbent) out from its blue casing. The calcium chloride, now located in the upper part of Absorpole, immediately begins to absorb moisture from the surrounding air. The desiccant gradually dissolves into a brine solution, which is collected in the casing, i.e., the lower part of Absorpole. The collected moisture does not evaporate back into the air. Absorpole also performs excellently in low humidity conditions, thus providing excellent protection for cargo throughout the entire journey. Typical applications: Valuables Textiles and leather Wood and paper products Plastic, glass, and metal Machinery and electronics Automotive parts Dimensions: packed: 640 x 116 x 35 mm activated: 1180 x 116 x 35 mm Required quantities For a 20-foot container: for dry cargo 6-8 units for moist cargo 8-10 units For a 40-foot container: for dry cargo 10-12 units for moist cargo 12-14 units This is only a general sizing recommendation. The number of units required depends on the length of transport/storage, climate/temperature conditions, and the type of cargo being protected. Temperature range: -20 to (+) 80°C |
