NOTE! The light cools through the aluminum housing; therefore, significant heating of the housing at high output is normal. The thermal protection of the light prevents harmful overheating.
Please note that the Lumonite Compass light has an extremely high luminous output. Despite the thermal protection, the light energy itself can heat nearby materials to very high temperatures. It is very important to read the instructions carefully and follow the safety guidelines below:

- Do not leave the light on with an obstacle less than 5 cm away from the lens.
- Unscrew the cap half a turn to prevent accidental activation (e.g., in a pocket).
- The powerful light is not a toy, so do not give it to a child without supervision.
- Use the key lock: When the lamp is turned off, press the switch for about 3 seconds. The key lock can be released by pressing the power switch for 3 seconds.
