- Applications: PTFE is used especially when chemical resistance, heat resistance, sliding properties and electrical insulation are required. These include seals, sliding parts, sleeves and insulating films. Widely used in the chemical industry, among others. Properties: - Maintains its mechanical properties even at high temperatures - Very low coefficient of friction - Excellent aging and weather resistance - Insignificant water absorption - Very good electrical properties - Poor wear resistance - Low mechanical resistance - Cold creep - Chemical resistance: almost complete chemical resistance - UV resistance: excellent - Etched PTFE films are etched on one side - Etching treatment enables PTFE film to be bonded to e.g. rubber, metal, plastic, etc. We supply: Sheets, films, material tubes, rods and machined parts. Also available in glass, carbon, graphite, bronze, MoS2 and steel alloys and etched. Semi-finished products are always delivered with the manufacturer's standard tolerances. If more precise dimensions or fits are required, they can only be achieved by machining. If necessary, ask Etra sales staff for more information. |
