Saint-Gobain's Norbond® Z3000 series is a double-sided, dual-adhesive, grey acrylic foam tape specifically designed for bonding exterior vehicle components without the need for primers. Its viscoelastic structure provides excellent adhesion to both low and medium surface energy materials such as PP-EPDM, ABS and ASA plastics, as well as OEM paint surfaces. One adhesive side of the tape (without liner) is designed for low surface energy materials (LSE) and the other adhesive side (with liner) is designed for OEM paint and other medium surface energy materials (MSE).

The core of the Z3000 tape is designed to withstand a variety of exposure conditions, while maintaining its foam-like structure and providing reliable adhesion. Its excellent peel strength and fast tack make it an excellent choice for applications where fast and durable bonding is required. The tape is particularly suitable for vehicle side moldings, wheel arch covers, skirting boards and spoilers. Its ability to withstand temperatures up to 90°C and its high resistance to moisture and aging ensure long-lasting performance even in demanding conditions. The Z3000 series tapes are available in thicknesses of 0.8 mm, 1.1 mm and 1.5 mm and meet standards such as Volkswagen TL52018 and Daimler DBL7906. Norbond Z3000 offers an effective and aesthetically pleasing solution that speeds up installation processes and reduces the need for post-treatment. |
