Extension Cords, for outdoor use

For use cases outside buildings and cover, you should use only extension cords designed for outdoor use. These extension cords are typically rubber-insulated and black in color. The outlet of an outdoor extension cord must have flap covers and the plug must have a tight structure. The enclosure of the extension outlet, i.e. its IP class, must be rated at least IP44 (protected against splashing water) or IP54 (protected against dust and water sprays). Markings and explanations of extension cables: H05RR-F is a light cable with a natural rubber jacket. It is suitable for occasional outdoor use and can be used outdoors temporarily. The natural rubber jacket cannot withstand continuous sunlight or handling in severe frost conditions. H05RN-F is an EPDM rubber-insulated medium-strength cable that can withstand both frost and sunlight, but is not suitable for heavy use. H07RN-F is a rubber cable intended for demanding conditions, which can withstand both frost and sunlight well. It is suitable for use at construction sites and other demanding premises.
